Today I have a Sweet Read to tell you about. I read this a month ago, and haven’t been able to stop grinning since. It’s that good. Here’s the blurb:
Music meets Movies in this sweet college romance from the bestselling author of Cinder & Ella. NYU freshman Nate Anderson is a triplet who is desperate to escape his wild and crazy brothers. After they screw things up for him one too many times, Nate flees his housing situation and takes the first available room for rent as far from his brothers as he can get.Enter his new roommate Jordan–a quirky LA girl who believes that everything in life has already been done in the movies. In this heartfelt tale of love, friendship and family, Nate learns how to deal with his new adult life using Hollywood films as a guide.
“If We Were a Movie made me want to binge watch movies, listen to old playlists and re-read it all at once.”
TEASER:
“So this is what a Pearl-approved guy looks like.” She shook her head once and cracked a smile. “She’s got good taste, I’ll give her that. You’re an odd mix of sexy and adorable. Don’t see that often.”I was a little taken aback by the compliment, if that’s even what it was. She may have just been stating what she considered to be fact. She laughed at my surprise and held out her hand to me. “Nice to meet you. I’m Jordan Kramer.”
I’d been afraid of that. “You’re a girl.”
Jordan laughed. “That’s what it says on my birth certificate, but I’m really glad you were able to figure it out without needing to read it.”
Nope. I definitely didn’t need that.
My Review
5 star supreme. Extremely Decadent!!! I mean, if this book had calories, you’d weigh 800 pounds. It’s beyond delicious. The story had everything…incredible characters (even the side ones), funny dialogue and scenes, lots of movie and music references, twists, and cute romance.
I know a book is incredible when I have to force myself to stop reading it. I want it so badly that it’s almost like a crack habit (not that I have one, but this is how I imagine it feels like). I’m twitchy thinking about it…aching to turn on my Kindle and read more…consumed with what is going to happen next when I’m trying to do other chores…twitching, wigging out and feeling all shaky as I wait to delve into my story drug once more and get my ‘high.’ This book was like that for me.
Every time I sat down to read, I couldn’t help smiling. It made me laugh out loud many times from Jordan’s funny, cheerful banter, and especially from Ty and Chris’s antics. The triplets are hilarious. Oh my goodness. I don’t want to tell you the whole story because I’d ruin your life, and I refuse to do that. But read this book. You won’t regret it. It’s one of the best ones I’ve read. I bawled a bucket of tears when I finished…not because it was a tragedy (furthest thing from it), but because I didn’t want it to be over. I’ve read one other book by Kelly Oram—Cinder and Ella—and loved that one too. And if you sign up for her newsletter below, you can get 2 FREE books. So what are you waiting for? Sounds like ‘If We Were a Movie” would make a good movie! Nice to find a book we enjoy so much.
I know. I love reading all the time, but occasionally, my emotions get hijacked by a particular book and I fall in love. This would definitely be a hilarious, cute chick flick movie.
That’s the best kind of book experience!
Agreed.

Oh my goodness! This sounds divine. If you think it’s a decadent 5, then I’m in!
Don’t you love a book that sparks a smile?
Thank you….off to order!
Yeah, this one would make an extremely cute chick flick movie. I really love this author. She’s funny.
I LOVED this book as well and read it much faster than I usually read a book. It flowed from page to page and I could hardly put it down. I need to read MORE Kelly Oram books. I didn’t realize what I was missing!
Ditto. She’s become my new fad.
