Ideas vs. Opinions
What’s your take on these words? Are they the same? Or do they have different meanings?
In a college English class a million years ago (at least it feels like that long), we delved into this subject. I thought I’d share my thoughts and see if you have any wisdom to add.
In the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, an Idea is “a thought, plan, or suggestion about what to do; a belief; something that you imagine or picture in your mind; a formulated thought or opinion.”

Hello friends! I’ve taken a hiatus from this blog for the past couple weeks, but have still been on WordPress a lot messing around. I’ve set up a new blog for my daughter who’s leaving me to serve a mission in South Korea. I wanted to highlight her journey as she sends me letters to tell of her experience. In the past, I’ve had great fun coming up with whoppers for New Year Resolutions—not as in the yummy Whopper burger from Burger King, but rather whoppers that are far-fetched lies that can’t possibly be accomplished.
My whopper goals made me feel SAFE. There was no way I could accomplish them…so I didn’t even have to try, fail, and feel bad. It was just a joke, right?
Well, this year, I’m going to live a little more dangerously and make lofty, but attainable goals. No more playing it SAFE.
