Christmas Grace

Christmas Grace Blog Tour

I know it’s still October, but this book I just read held a collection of Christmas novellas set in England during the Regency period, and now I’m ready to turn on Christmas music and maybe decorate early. Only my laziness will stop me.

Christmas Grace is a collection by four well-known authors: Jennifer Moore (I’ve read a ton of her books), Anita Stansfield (same), Krista Lynne Jensen, and Chalon Linton. Continue reading

5 Reasons to read Game Changer

If you’ve already read my new book, Game Changer, then Thank You! If you haven’t, I brainstormed five reasons to get your copy and read it immediately. Hold onto your britches, because I know you’re excited to read these. Here you go.

Reason #1 – You’ll lose weight!!!

scaleGame Changer is a good substitute for food that might make you fat. Oh my! I said the F word. Sorry. 2 F words, in fact. Food and fat. Oops. I said them again. Shame on me. But really, this book gives you the sense that you’re eating yummy food like sticky, sweet orange chicken or huckleberry ice cream without all the calories. Who can pass that up? Not me. Just ask the chocolate chip cookies that were on my counter this morning. Continue reading

The Inventive Bride

InventiveBride_SM (1)Okay, I feel like I’ve blabbed a LOT about my book lately. Now it’s time to blab about someone else’s book. This new release by Maria Hoagland tickled my fancy and was a definite winner. No fixing up to do with this story. It’s just fine as it is. More than fine, really. Here’s the blurb:

Frankie understands the inner workings of clocks and pianos–but dating? Well, that’s a bit more complicated.

Looking to move on after his wife’s death, Dr. Logan Wells relocates his optometry practice to Wyoming, home of his favorite childhood memories. By doing so, he incurs the wrath of his former mother-in-law who threatens to sue for custody of his ten-year-old daughter, Harper. Despite the lawsuit hanging over him, Logan is determined to find joy for the two of them as they settle in the idyllic small town of Cobble Creek. Continue reading

More Book Love

huckleDoesn’t this picture make you salivate? It does me.  And it goes right along with my new book, Game Changer. Huckleberry ice cream plays a huge part in Meridee’s and Parker’s friendship-turning-into-more relationship. Ice cream usually does help any romance along, at least in my opinion. And this one, from Ferdinand’s Ice Cream Shop in Pullman, Washington, looks especially divine. My cookie/ice cream/chocolate monster appears, and I say: ME WANT SOME!!!

The book monster inside me has been especially happy as well with all the kind reviews being left about Game Changer. If you haven’t written a book before, you might not get an author’s fascination over reviews. But let me tell you. We crave them. Like Cookie Monster craves cookies. Like I know you’re craving that huckleberry ice cream. Continue reading
