This year I read 129 books.
I’ve posted my Favorites with links to check out on my new author blog–Char’s Succulent Thoughts. It took forever to categorize books & then choose my favorites from each genre. (A work of love…you’re welcome. Ha ha) You can see ALL my books in that post on my Goodreads Year in Review link (It’s a pretty cool visual–Thanks Goodreads!)
New Website Look & Blog
If you click on my website in the menu bar above, you’ll see I’ve changed up the look of my website, and added a new blog to it.
Char’s Succulent Thoughts will be more of my author arena to post about book updates, giveaways, & random thoughts.
Joy in the Moments will lean more to book reviewing. At least, that’s what I’m thinking at the moment. We’ll see how things pan out, right?
Package Deal available for Pre-Order
Last little tidbit to ring in the New Year is….
Package Deal will release January 10th.
I’m super excited for you to read this second book in the Ruled Out Romances. It was a blast to write, and I really, really love Hudson & Spring in this story. Spring really is an angel. Little Emma’s adorable and annoying (like any good toddler should be). Don’t you love her shoes on the cover?
I hope you’ll enjoy this. If you’re interested in being an early reader in exchange for leaving a review on Amazon, shoot me an email from the contact page and we’ll talk (Ebook only).
Have a Happy New Year!
I’ll talk to you next year.
Okay, I’ve missed a couple days here and there during this 12 Days of Clean Romance, but I hope you got a taste of some new great authors to check out. The last author for this giveaway is Cami Checketts, and I couldn’t tell you how many books that girl has out. All I know it that it’s a LOT!!! She writes fast, or she’s been writing since she was in the womb. Hee hee. Here is a sample of her latest works to check out. Make sure to enter the giveaway at the end of this post.
Sassy meets swoon-worthy in this fast-paced contemporary romance. Continue reading
Today, I’m adding to the 12 Days of Clean Romance (Day 11) to feature Heather Moore (who also writes under the name of H.B. Moore). She was scheduled for Day 9, but since I was scheduled to do her blog tour today for her newest book, Ruth, I swapped her out for today and will feature more of her books along with her newest biblical romance. Here is the blurb: Continue reading
Today’s author spotlight is Annette Larsen. I’m doing Day 9 Author tomorrow out of order, so sorry. Annette’s books are super fun. I’ve read her Books of Dalthia, and liked them. Check them out below.
Just Ella by Annette K. Larsen
Ariella was only looking for a distraction, something to break up the monotony of palace life. What she found was a young man willing to overlook her title and show her a new and vibrant way of life. But when her growing feelings for Gavin spiral out of control and clash with the expectations of her station, she will discover that the consequences of her curiosity are far more severe than she’d imagined. For the 8th day of Clean Romance, I’d like to introduce you to Sheralyn Pratt. She writes amazing, intense stories with fascinating characters and riveting, mind-blowing action. I absolutely LOVED her book, Pimpernel. So good. And today, you get to learn more about her sequel to that award-winning novel. Yea! Here’s the blurb (and check out the giveaway at the end of this post):
One man, one night, one dance, and one question…none of which Claire Ramsey sees coming.
She thinks the night is a test—a call to rise above her insecurities and step more fully into her skills. It’s been a year since she learned about the Pimpernel and fell in love with the man of so many masks. Jack’s world is full of high stakes and big players, and Claire wants in.
To her frustration, Jack is dragging his feet on letting her all the way into both his heart and his work. The risk is too high, he says. But Claire is ready to prove him wrong. She’s ready to go all-in.
What Claire doesn’t know is that Jack is no lone wolf, and the world he is shielding her from is much bigger than she has ever imagined.
But one man, one night, one dance, and one question will change all of that in a way Claire never saw coming. Continue reading
Whoohoo!!! Today’s author deserves a round of applause. Taylor’s books are always my favorites, and I’ve read them all several times. She has the best premises and unique twists to her romances. They always touch my heart. Her newest series is incredible. I beta-read these, and LOVED them. It was hard to give constructive criticism because I got too pulled into the plots and characters and became more of a reader then a critiquer. I figured that meant they were just super good, so she had nothing to worry about. If you haven’t read them, check them out here, and give yourself some Christmas cheer with this series.
The Sound of Silence Series
Each book has a happy ending and there are no cliffhangers. They are not stand-alones and should be read in order.
Today’s featured clean romance author is Jennifer Griffith. I’ve read many of her romances. They are light, fluffy, and usually very funny. I’ve loved them. She likes to write books that help readers escape their lives and have some fun for a moment. Her latest release is My Fair Aussie. I haven’t got my hands on this one yet, but it’s on Kindle Unlimited, so I’ll probably check it out soon. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway at the end of this post. Here’s the blurb:
There’s more to this Aussie cowboy than meets the eye.
Former grad student Eliza works as a nanny for a self-absorbed trophy wife looking to trade up for a new husband and ditch her child. Eliza will do anything to protect the little girl and open her boss’s eyes. Even if it requires an elaborate hoax.
Then fate hits Eliza with Henry, a bewildered, dirty guy at the bus station. He’s got amazing teeth, cowboy swagger, and an accent to swoon for. Everything is falling into place for a rags-to-riches-style bait and switch. But will it deliver a slice of humble pie to Eliza’s boss—or get Eliza fired?
Worse, refining him might mean losing her heart. Continue reading
